Why you are seeking a seat on the Board of Directors?

I would love the opportunity to be the voice for my fellow small & large business owners in the downtown community. As a salon owner I interact with many different types of people who work and live downtown, therefore I have an overall snapshot of their opinions and concerns of the downtown area.

What are your top priorities for DNA to work on?

As a board member I would like to offer downtown business owners an easier way to voice their opinions as many of them work during the hours of most meetings, I would like to develop a strategy to fill vacant retail spaces with interesting and unique events or businesses, and have a general impact on the decisions made to make our city a national/global destination.

What are the assets you can bring to assist DNA’s mission?

As a small business owner and national educator, I will bring a creative and diplomatic approach to growth and problem solving as well as be a great connector to those who can provide assistance in the DNA’s endeavors. There has never been a time where I have felt defeated by an obstacle. I have always found solutions to any issue or idea by taking the time to consult with the right professionals, research all variables, and face the facts directly rather than cutting corners, which only would result in a delay to the issue at hand. I believe in the beauty and potential of our city and I would be honored and take much pride in the opportunity to be a part of this board.
